F.A.Q.
- What is C&C:Online?
- C&C:Online is a GameSpy emulating server for modern Command & Conquer games. It's based on our T3A:Online project for BFME, adapted to work for all the Command & Conquer games affected by the GameSpy closure (Generals, Zero Hour, C&C 3, Kane's Wrath, Red Alert 3). After registering on Revora and installing our client, you'll be able to continue playing the same way you could before the GameSpy shutdown.
- How can I start using C&C:Online?
- Please read the setup instructions carefully.
- What are the advantages of C&C:Online as opposed to using VPN software (such as GameRanger)?
- C&C:Online is intended as a direct continuation of the online experience you're familiar with. You don't have to launch multiplayer games through third-party software; instead you can keep playing the way you've always played.
- Can I use mods when playing online with C&C:Online?
- Absolutely. Remember that your opponent will also need to have the same version of the same mod installed.
- Is C&C:Online a paid service?
- No. Registering at Revora, downloading the C&C:Online Client, and logging into our server is and always will be completely free of charge. Of course we appreciate donations to keep our infrastructure running.
- I lost my CD-key. Can I still use C&C:Online?
- You can use C&C:Online so long as you haven't cracked your games.
- Why can't we use cracked games? the games are decades old!
- None of the games we support are classified abandon or freeware, we also have to follow Electronic Arts Terms Of Service as well as our local laws regarding piracy and intellectual property. With making sure that we are within the TOS we have to follow can we ensure that we remain on good terms with EA and can continue to work closely together with them and coordinate patches, events, and future development efforts
- Are there any default community patches i need to install and set up before i can play online?
- While C&C:Online will always support the mainline vanilla game patches does Kane's Wrath specifically have a default accepted community patch which you can find over at kaneswrath.com. Once the other games like RA3 and ZH have established default community patches will their source be added here as well.
